BUILD & CARE Academy
BUILD & CARE Academy
Core object of the academy is Technical TRAINING & CONCRETE TESTINGS
TRAININGS
It is a knowledge center primarily to act as a Platform for providing Trainings to
“To Enhancing the service life of built environment through sharing of knowledge and practice in the field of Constructions, Concreting, Waterproofing, Structural protection, repair & Rehabilitations”
The academy is promoted by BUILD & CARE and it is managed and operated on a standalone basis. It is registered under section 25 of the Indian Company Act 1956.
One of the objectives of the Academy is to bring and popularize the state with the Indian Standards and practices in constructions, Waterproofing, Repair and Rehabilitations Technologies. As a step towards achieving this objective, the academy has been conducting several programmes and Events all over the state for creating awareness and skill development in the field Constructions, Waterproofing and repairs of structures.
VISION
To become a premier national knowledge and skill development center for capacity enhancement in Construction practice, waterproofing and other areas of repair, restoration and renewal engineering based on sustainable and Green Technologies
MISSION
To act as a platform of stat and networking for sharing of knowledge and practices in the fields of construction, waterproofing, repair, restoration and renewal engineering in the contact of life cycle assessments of the built environment for adoption of best practices by the country’s construction industry.
ORGANIZATION

CONCRETE NDT – TESTINGS
It is often necessary to test concrete structures after the concrete has hardened to determine whether the structure is suitable for its designed use. Ideally such tasting should be done without damaging the concrete. The tests available for testing concrete range from the completely non-destructive, where there is no damages to the concrete.
The range of properties that can be assessed using non-destructive tests and partially destructive tests is quite large and includes such fundamental parameters as density, elastic modulus and strength as well as surface hardness and surface absorption and reinforcement location ,size and distance from the surface. In some cases it is also possible to check the quality of workmanship and structural integrity by the ability to detect voids, cracking and delimitation.
Non –destructive testing can be applied to both old and new structures. For new structures, the principal applications are likely to be for quality control or the resolution of doubts about the quality of materials or constructions. The testing of existing structures is usually related to an assessment of structural integrity or adequacy.
